The story of home depot and rebar tie wire
Now one would think that going to the home depot and fetching yourself some rebar tie wire and some angle cutters would be an easy task. The most time I thought I would spend during this trip would be standing in line to pay for the wire and cutters for maybe about ten minutes. A shopping trip to get materials for your art can never be easy however. Everytime I set out on a journy to gather supplies I try to tell myself that I will be able to walk in and get what I need and be able to walk out after waiting in the long checkout line and grumbling some words to the checkout clerk. But as you walk in those front doors and gaze down the massive asiles of hardware and tools it hits you, you have no clue where anything is in this palace for do it your selfers. When that thought finally moves up to the front of my brain the next logical thing I can think of is to wander around the stor for about fifteen minutes while only really walking in circles and finding nothing you need. So whats the next logical move I ask myself. Ask at customer service. So my friend and I stroll through the store in the general direction of the customer service desk and stumble upon one of the most endangered speices at this store. The o so rare employee of home depot. As we aproach the employee we walk slowly as not to disturb it and cause it to run away. After all we do have some questions about their habitat. When we got close enough for the emloyee we say in one fast long sentance excusemedoyouknowwhereIcanfindtherebartiewire. Aparently all the employees at this home depot were young and had not entirly learned about their habitat yet. The reason I say this is because we spent the next 20 min being sent from one employee to the next until we found the section with rebar tie wire. When we finally got there we had gone through about 5 employees. One issue prevaild though the only had two gauges of wire and neaither of them the ones we needed. We thought tht they would carry more but we were wrong. we thought it would be easy to find such an item but we were wrong. Case in point: It will never be easy fetching art supplies.
The birth of global a go go
Last night in a moment of bliss the idea hit me. So now it is the next day and I no longer have a blissful haze around my head I am putting my idea into action. As I passed out last night fully dressed sprawled across my bed ideas of blogs and Johnny damon filled my head. At least this is what i like to think was in my brain. I came to this conclusion because last night when I was dreaming Johnny walked up to me rubbed my beard for good luck and told me to start blogging. The idea has passed through my mind once or twice that maybe I should start blogging but the ideas never turned into actions. So I present to you This is a Global a go go the blog that Johnny damon told me to create in my dreams. I hope you enjoy the forthcoming musings of Global a go go as they will be the ideas that muse me on this never ending adventure I call my life.
